Sticky throttle body right off idle....anyone?
When I step on the gas pedal, it sticks a bit and is very annoying to drive that way. Pedal action is smooth otherwise.
Seemed to trace it to the throttle body , lubed the heck out of it...still sticks.
Anyone solve this prob?

remove the air intake and spray some carb cleaner into the throttle body, wipe out the throttle body and work the throttle body a few times

never use carb cleaner on a throttlebody. there is a coating that gets removed when using that stuff.

Wish someone would have told before I did it.

It won't ruin it, you just may have to clean it more often. First time I cleaned an IAC I used Berryman's B-12, which at the time was not throttle-body safe (I think it is now). I had to clean my IAC about once a year after that, but I never replaced it. The coating just prevents the crud from building up as fast.
