Pics of my 6637 (first) mod

Well I just finished putting the 6637 filter in my truck. I got a lot of information just by looking through threads in this forum and then just kind of went with it. I did my own thing and I think it looks pretty D**n good. I also ran the CCV through 15 ft of 3/4" heater hose out the back of the truck while I was at it. Once I got the parts all figured out and made a couple trips to home depot, it was pretty easy. Here are a few pics... For some reason I could not figure out how to paste the pictures in here all though I've done it before... I think you can just copy and paste these links and it should show you the pics...

I really enjoy this forum and have learned a lot already, now onto a possible FPR shim or just a DP tuner or both, New exhaust (turbo back), a 4" lift with new tires (prob 34"), a brush guard, a tool box, and maybe some interior niceties...

Bino2: Good job, looks great. You should have noticed a difference in the sound of your turbo singing it's sweet wail.

I couldn't tell from the photos that you posted. Did you run your CCV mod up and over the top of the brake unit so that any fluid will roll back into the engine? By doing this it just eliminate the possibility of fluid gathering in a low spot along the way and causing back pressure.

Good Job.

Great job !!!! I did about the same thing on 6637 and sure enjoy the difference. Have a low rumble at idle now and think the truck is just begging me to do downpipe and cat delete. At least that is what I'm telling my wife.

Yea I hear the same thing from my truck, hopefully I will be able to do them soon...

I should probably elevate the ccv tube a little more to allow it to drain back down... Thanks...

Well it's actually a really nice 4" to 3" thick rubber coupler from Lowe's... You can find it in the plumbing section... Fits perfectly around the end of that filter and it definitely won't come off, cuz I was pullin on it pretty hard because that was one thing I was worried about... worked out really nicely... Costs about $6 or $7...

are you shure 4" to 3"?, because the ID of the filter is 4" and the pipe is also 4" IIRC. Maybe it is 4 1/2 " to 4"

Yea I thought that too at first, but I found out that since it is meant for Pipe like PVC, the PVC has a 4" Interior Diameter and a slightly larger exterior diameter... This coupler is made to fit over the end of that type of pipe so it is actually slightly larger than 4", but fits over the end of the filter perfectly... Same thing with the 3" end, slightly larger than 3"...
