roostnu074 is starting off with a positive reputation.
turbo 7.3 tanny bolt up to a 6.9

wondering if a 97 7.3 turbo diesel tranny will bolt up to my 6.9 that im dropping into my 74 f250. should i get an automatic tranny or a standard. truck right now is an auto and iv wanted to convert it into a standard just alot of work. but if the auto wont bolt up then ill have to go to standard. anyways let me know

David85 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
It will bolt up, but you will need the flexplate as well. An aftermarket transmission controller is probably the best option but that will drive the cost up. Just so you know, the E4OD has a wider OD ratio than a 5 speed, not sure if that matters at all.
