what would a 1977 300cid and manual trans bring??? motor runs great, low miles,

motor and trans work and run great!!
the only reason i ask is i bought a 77 2wd with a body that is not great but way better than my 78 250 4wd.i am doing a body swap but the motor and trans out of the 77 are in great working order, starts up first crank...

any ideas what the motor and trans is worth,or even worth keeping around??

odometer is something like this.........07589. i am guessing 107,589 from looking at the interior.it was an old mans truck my uncle found by his house.he didn't think the old man ever drove it.it starts up first crank, throttle responce is amazing!! no hesitation or spudder at all!!

dude, absolutely keep the 300, its a great motor. the motor may be tired, but oh well just rebuild it. and it depends on what the trans is; if 3spd it wouldn't be worth keeping for the f250, if 4spd drop it in and throw some mud

she's a 4 speed!!

i hate to part with it but where i live (central il) if you find one of these trucks with a decent body..............they go for a pretty penny, but they should because there great trucks!! the only other reason i am even considering taking the body for my other truck is this one is 2wd and i currently own 4 trucks (5 with the wifes) i dont really have room for all of them and cant really afford storage.

thanks for the input!!
