What model tuner? If it is an xcal or xcal2 or 3 you will need to return your truck to the factory tune. Then you can use it on a newer vehicle. You will have to get new tunes however because the PCM strategy on the '08 is different than the '04. Without tunes derived from the PCM strategy from the new '08 the tuner will not work. I am in the process of going through this now.

Xcals are not a "Superchip". Xcals are from SCT, a different company from Superchips.
Your Superchips programmer is an off the shelf unit and can program a wide variety of trucks. However, it must recognise the PCM code of the truck. Unless you bought it since the 2008 trucks came out (since November of this year), its not going to work with a 2008. If its a couple of years old chances are its not even updatable to support 2008 --- the 2008s have more than twice the ROM size of the the 2004 and the older units simply won't have enough memory to hold all the 2008 tunes.
