Replacing Y-block rear main seal

I am reading the latest Hemmings and theres a mention about the old rear main seals being a graphite-impregnated rope, but the new seals are neoprene and I'd like to know where I can find one of these new fangled seals.
thanks for your help.

FelPro offers the neoprene seal for the 292 but not the 312. Best Gasket offers the neoprene seal for both the 292 and the 312.

Can these neoprene seals be bought at local auto parts stores like Advance Auto or AutoZone?

Not sure if the seals are available from auto parts stores (What's a Y-Block??). Probably wouldn't have them in stock anyway? Try John Mummert or Red's Headers or most of the Vintage Ford parts retailers.

The local OReilly keeps it in stock for the 292. FelPro number is BS-6141. Kids at the parts counter can't find it on the computer though.
