pyro problems

I went camping in Yosemite this week end and on my way out of vegas coming up to state line on I15 my pyro started bouncig aroung like crazy when i made it to fresno i stoped at my buddies apartment to see what was going oun. one of my conections had come loose. put a new screw and nut in it and it was fine. then on my way home going threw the pass between bakersfield and barstow on hyw 58 when i droped out of overdive to pass the needle started fluctuating then was fine untill i started coming up state line again I was 3/4 of the way to hollaren summit and I was running about 900* then it jumped to 1000* and bounced between 1000* and 800* and now seems to jump around when i get on it hard. I'm stumped.

Any ideas? could the loose conection have screwed up the gage?

Also is the auto meter thermocouple and lead compatible with ISSPRO gauges? we have a tester for thouse at work. And if it is the gauge I may replace it with the color coded one from ISSPRO.

All pyro's work the same. They should be cross compatible.

I had some trouble with autometer pyro...it wouldn't bounce but stick?? I'd tap it and the temp would change...bouncing is new on me....email the manufactor, see what they have to say.
