92 F150, 300 4.9, MOD5 Speed - Flooding / VECI Label

I have tried looking through the threads for an answer but can't seem to find it exactly.

I need to locate a diagram for the VECI label or vacuum diagram since mine is missing.

My truck also appears to be flooding out. Computer listed some fault codes and those components have been replaced (MAP Sensor, Throttle Switch, Fuel Regulator, Module) but it still wont run right. It will barely start and idles badly. If you apply throttle it bogs down and stalls when throttle is released.

The next step I guess is to check and see if timing has slipped. I am smelling unburnt fuel. I have disconnected positive cable to reset computer but it does not seem to help.

Any ideas would be appreciated. My truck is a 92 F150, 300 4.9, Manual Trans., EFI.

Sounds to me like IAC is stuck.

Also, if you have been running that rich, change your plugs.

Far as the vacuum diagram, autozone has some in the repair guide section, but they are not always complete.

http://www.autozone.com/az/cds/en_us...rInfoPages.htm

Those are what they list for your year.

Vacuum diagrams are on Autozones web site. Print one and glue it to the hood.

Do you have any codes since you changed the sensors? The problem sounds like a bad MAF but of course you don't have one. I would pull the vacuum hose off of the fuel regulator to see if there is fuel in it and put a gage on the fuel rail to see if you have too much/not enough and do a leak down to see if you have a badly leaking injector. Also, pull the plugs to see if one or two are different from the others. This might help isolate it to a particular cylinder.

Thanks for the reply guys.

Most of the codes have gone with replacement of the components but it still wont run. Now it wont even start or idle. I get codes 11, system pass, and 111 system pass, and 334 EGR closed voltage higher than expected. The timing is OK, have fuel pressure and plenty of spark and vacuum. I even changed the plugs.

I have tried disconnecting both pos and neg battery cables for 5 minutes. I even tried to disconnect coil wire from distributor and hit starter a couple times to reset ignition module since I read in here somewhere that you could do that.

If the computer was bad I should not get any codes right?

If it was the computer I am not sure what it is called ECM or PCM or exactly where it is located or looks like. I spoke to two different Ford service departments to locate and one said behing kickplate passenger side and the other guy said under wheelwell.

I'm stuck. Please help.

A 92 will have an EGR position sensor which is where the code is coming from. I would guess the EGR valve is stuck wide open causing the engine not to run. When you checked the fuel pressure did you shut off the key with the fuel pressure gage connected to see how long it took to return to zero pounds? Less than a few minutes and you have leaky injectors.
