George D. is starting off with a positive reputation.
Yeah I pay more than that guy but i have two vehicle and have a $250 deductable on my truck the loan company said I needed $500 but it was $1o bucks more a year for the $250.

And your insurance monopaly probly doesn't rip you off because they relise they are the only game in tow and make a huge profit without charging an arm and a leg also they probly don't have as much pull on the government as big oil so if they piss every one off there may be action you could take against them.

David85 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Well, technically ICBC is not allowed to make a profit, but the premier of BC is in love with profits and is quietly encouraging all the crown corporations to run profits and trying to privatize everything else. Last I heard there was a planned rate cut since there was already such a stockpile of cash as an emergency fund should conditions change later on.

ICBC is far from perfect, but they do pay for road improvements in high accident areas and intersections (they often pay for adding turning lanes) as well as drunk driving check points. Since they are the only game in town, the reduction is collisions have a direct affect on their bottom line. I give them a C+.

There seems to be a lot less complaints about ICBC lately after price hike from private insurance providers across the rest of canada. Boom country alberta is just insane. Think $5000 and up per year for a truck like ours. Discrimination goes to extremes over there as well.
