Not sure what the gears are yet (haven't decoded it yet) but i can tell ya they are tall (100mph third gear and overdrive forth). The truck was originally a 4.9 6cyl but had a stock 1980 6.6 dropped in back in 88. I've owned the truck 2 yrs. My wife's cousin and good friend of mine passed then and left it to me. The last it was registered was in 1998. Sat with dirt halfway up the wheels for 8 yrs due to my friend losing his longtime wife to cancer and his deep depression. I vowed i'd bring it back to running condition. With the minor mods i did and no internal rebuild its breathing heavy again. Sorry bout' the long story and thanks for your interest.

that's sweet man.. 400 is definitely underrated. My stock engine, abused to all hell with the carb set wrong burned out for about half that distance, cold.. with good street tires on it too. No smoke but it left some rubber on the road that's still here 5 months later.

I've put some money into it since then, I expect it to scare me next time I start it up.

They're a torque monster off idle fior a bit, but it takes a few more mods to wake up the higher end.
