Leveling kit on 07 FX4

I'm thinking of putting a leveling kit on my 07FX4. I will immediatly get an alignment done on it. Dealer says it may void the warranty on steering and suspension. Anyone else had a dealer tell them that?

I bought mine in Colorado Springs, but the dealership up here told me it would void my warranty if I did it.

I then asked him if the 2008's they were selling on their lot with the leveling kits installed by them voided the warranty before they even sold them. (They had 3 of them) The salesman just looked at me like a deer in the headlights.

I don't see a reason for them to void the warranty. Especialy if the have them on the lots with warranty...

I'm sure it's because of the extra stress on the upper ball joints, and the geometry change of the half-shafts...Personally, I can understand the ball joints. However, the damn dealership had three of them with leveling kits on them!!

Sounds like a bunch of crap to me.. Just another way for them to hose you though. I've had a leveling kit on my '05 for 3 years now and haven't had any problems.
