Well due to some circumstances beyond my control( not really I just like to tell myself that), I will be replacing my passenger side mirror glass. So while I am in there that far I will see about reversing these wires to make them work right. A link to this was posted in a thread I had started, so reps to you Fivonut and the OP for linking me up.
P.S I dont venture out of the 7.3 forum enough to know this was there.
Edit...I see it was you that posted the link and this thread was moved to the Superduty forum. Shows how much I pay attention.

WHOA, you are a brave man. I have been getting questions asking are the exterior plastic housings available. AND THEY ARE NOT SERVICED, you have to buy the whole assy again if you damage/break the black housing.

fivonut I'm going to rep you for being a stud!

Do I need to do both mirrors or just the passenger? I am also having issues with my driver mirror dosent do anything no matter which way the wires are connected. Anybody else have that problem? My truck is a 99. Dont know if that matters or not.

Just a note to say that the 09 TT mirrors (power fold/power telescope) move in the correct direction on my vehicle. Perhaps if 09 mirrors are ordered as spare parts, you get ones that operate correctly.

I would hope the '08 mirrors move in the correct direction on the '08 trucks.(insert laughing guy here because I'm posting this from my crackberry n can't do smileys) Its just something different in the switch when putting '08 mirrors on older model trucks.

Well now I am scared because I actually did this last night and with 09 mirrors but I am wondering if neil is correct and they will work without me switching the wires? However mine are not the Power fold / Telescope.

Have you tried them? I had just noticed that he has a '09 truck and that they work correctly. I think its just something different in the switches from the older model trucks to the newer ones.
