Need Plastic Parts for a tilt steering column

Anybody know a place that sells the plastic collar for a tilt steering column. Ford P/N D5AZ-3511-B.
It's described as the upper Flange in the Ford repair manual page 13-06-10. It's the part that surronds the column where the tilt lever goes in to the column.

New or Used is O.K.

Dennis Carpenter, LMC, Mac's doesn't have it

I don't have a catalog handy, but check NPD (National parts depot) or LMC they should have the parts for you. They do have websites also.

D5AZ-3511-B .. Flange-Use w/Tilt Wheel / OBSOLETE

But it does fit other models...

Fits:

1975/79 Econoline / 1978/79 F100/350 / 1978/79 Bronco / 1975/78 LTD & Mercury Marquis / 1975/79 Lincoln Town Car

1975/79 Thunderbird / 1975/79 Mark IV & V / 1975/76 Torino/Mercury Montego / 1975/79 Cougar

1977/79 LTD II (1979: NOT an LTD - LTD II's have stacked dual quad headlights).

1975/76 Mustang II / 1976/80 Granada/Monarch / 1977/80 Lincoln Versailles

No Ford obsolete parts seller I searched has one (including Green Sales), no Ford dealer has one either.

EDIT: Try FTE sponsor BRONCO GRAVEYARD.

Bronco's, F100/350's: 1978/79 only = 1980 and later is different.

Econoline: 1975/79 only, 1980 and later is different.

Plastic Part

Dennis, says he may have one. I also need the lower bearing and housing assembly. Fits into the end of the column. Bronco Graveyard shows one in there cataloge, but in reality that have a fabercated one I've seen on eBay. I want the original. What I want to do is replace both bearings before I put the column in my truck.

John

I'll take a look-see...then look at the usual suspects...er obsolete parts sellers, give me 20 minutes or so.

Watch this post...more info being added...

Round COVER = D8TZ-3D505-A upper bearing goes here / This comes next = round FLANGE D5AZ-3511-B

Lower bearing goes to D4AZ-3D651-A = tilt wheel LOWER flange. Is this what U mean by the lower housing??

Bearings: C7SZ-3517-C .. Upper / E1FZ-3517-B .. Lower = replaces C7SZ-3517-D.

EDIT:BOTH BEARINGS ARE STILL AVAILABLE....sorry for shouting, this new system sucks, cuz you can't add color or bold type when editing, and with me, editing is a way of life!

I'll see what's available = these numbers are typed from a 20 yr old parts catalog, so now I have to verify whether these numbers are still viable, or have been replaced.

Will type what I find in another post.

Lower bearing assembly P/N D8TZ-30681-A
flange P/N D8TZ-3D505-A

The following is the correct part number for the lower flange: D4AZ-3D651-A.

flange P/N D8TZ-3D505-A This is the upper steering cover, fits above the 3511, the upper bearing goes here.
Ask Dennis to post this illustration: Section 35 / Page 31

It'll make life one heck of a lot easier when you can see the setup. 1978/79 tilt column illustration. / Dennis has the catalog on a CD, I'm using microfiche, I can't scan that! :-(

D4AZ3D651A .. Lower Flange, Use with Tilt Wheel -Obsolete- I haven't looked around for this yet...

C7SZ3517C .. Upper Bearing / MSRP: $39.98 / ftepartsguy.com: $28.79

E1FZ3517B .. Lower Bearing / MSRP: $10.37 / ftepartguy.com price: $7.78

(when typing part numbers into websites, the hyphens/spaces have to be removed, otherwise you'll get: No parts found.

Are you looking for 3D505, also??

Upper bearing & lower bearing are the same part, correct #3517. Why the difference in price?

I cannot say, that's Ford's doing.

3517 is just the basic number, when the prefix and suffix are added, that makes a complete part number.

The lower bearing: C3DZ3517A & retainer: B1AZ3518A

Those 2 bearings I typed earlier (C7SZ3517C & E1FZ3517B) are both considered upper bearings.
