Mating a '70 429 w/ NP435 and NP205

I'm yanking the '70 429/C6 from my '66 SWB 4x4 and changing it to NP435/205 combo. The pedal cluster is in, and I have the bell/trans/transfer case waiting on standby.

I thought I read somewhere that I had to get a 390 flywheel and have it drilled (?) to accept the 435. Though this sounds rediculous, since the FE/385 motors are completely different, but has anyone else heard this?

Lastly, anyone else done this combo and run into issues?
