vin# and plante help ples.

ok. I have looked all over can not find any thing to help on the vin# and plate on my truck. Can someone tell me if thay can what my truck is ples ? Most of the paint on the plate is gone so all I have is numbers I will try my best -top then left to right and down left to right -F10JK423294 114 T f100 81A A 12 5000 114 3600 63 -thk you

camperspecial65 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Heres the skinny...

F= conventioal cab truck
10= F100 series...1/2 ton truck
J = 223 1bbl 6 cylinder engine
K= Kansas City assy.
423,294= 1963 model assembled in June

114= wheelbase in inches
T= sandshell beige
F100= model of truck...see above
81A = conventional cab truck with a beige interior.

A= 3 speed manual trans. L/D

63= DSO= Memphis...where truck was ordered from originally

the numbers prior to the DSO are the engines net H.P. at the shown RPM's, followed by the trucks load rating(GVWR) in pounds.
