Exhaust Pinging

Anyone ever hear the pinging either the exhaust shields,or catalytic converter?Especially when it has been running a while.

Mine pings all the time, are you talking about the "ticking" that you would hear even after shutting it down?

I don't know how long you've had your truck or what familiarity you have with Super Duties, but since 2005 the exhaust/ cat cooling makes a hell of a racket. Its so loud that you can even hear it at stop lights. Point is, if its a "pinging" and not "vibrating" or "rattling", its completely normal!
