FWIW: When I bent 1" copper pipe for my motorhome generator exhaust, the bender would crimp it, but I moved the bender a half inch or so every time it started to crip, so I ended up with a lot of very minor crimps, rather than one big nasty crimp.
WARNING: i highly suggest not signing up for pirate and start posting away... you will get flamed and you will get flamed hard... There is alot of good info on pirate but you have to sift throught the b.s. to get it. Be very carefull about what you post. as pirate is no where near as forgiving as fte is... I know from personal expierence...
