Rust convertor/ stopper

Was a the local TSC today and in the paint isle along with the thinners and such they had some stuff in gallons and spray bottles that said it turns rust around to where it stops oxiding so rust will stop. Anyone try or believe any of this stuff?

Is there a real product out there besides sanding and grinding to get rid or stop rust?

Go to Eastwood company. The sell a liquid that turns rust into a black oxide primer you can paint over after it dries.

The stuff at TSC is similar to what you say Eastwood's has. I did some work on the hood of my 78 and used the TSC stuff, worked great just painted over top of it once it was dry.

Yes it does work. But rust has a funny way of showing up somewhere else no matter what !
