I saw a nice new black stretch Limo today. I guess its an ELLLLLLLLLLL. This isn’t the first I’ve seen, but I guess this is the only limo option for Ford now. I still see many Excursion Limos, but with 2005 the last year operators continue to still need fresh Limos.
I wonder what the 3.73 (XH6) LIMITED SLIP rear axle looks like that is only available on the (17L) EL Limo Prep package. I’m sure they had to do something to bump the GVW above #7900. In stock form, Front axle rating is only #3700, and #4250 for the rear with a payload of only about #1800 and that’s with a non-stretched vehicle. Perhaps someone can take a peek at one an see what the GVW is and if it has a sold rear or a heavy duty independent rear. About the only information I could find at the ford fleet site was that they Expeditions could be stretched a maximum of 140”
Call Krystal Koach and ask. Might check with Don Kott Lincoln Mercury and ask for Donna and see she will give you the specs. You can also check LCT Magazine's online site for vendors to the industry under coachbuilders. Good Luck.

Yes the Limited slip from the EL limo package can be put in any off the shelf expy. I doubt they do anything to the rated GVW as any upfitter can change the GVW on their own. The only weights that matter are what your vehicle is tagged for and what the tires are rated for (at least that's FL out look on it in a WRITTEN LETTER FROM THE DOT).
