Wooden Swing sets

I bought my kids a wooden swing set with the play house. According to the instructions it says to set aside a whole day because it takes about 6 hours to assemble.

Well if it takes 6 hours I wonder how many people they are using. It is just me with my wife helping when needed. 3 days later and I am still not finished. I probably still have 3 or 4 hours left. Now it is raining.

This is where I have been for the last few days.

He ain't a carpenter but he is more than competent mechanically

What ever happened to the simple days?

I hope you finish the playset soon with out too much headaches.
I am sure the kids are ready to burn up of a lot of energy on it.
Keep us posted and include pictures of the finished project.

I am about 85% complete. All that is left is the picnic table and a few cosmetic things. I will finish it tomorrow and post pics. My daughter Victoria wants to help but only slows things down. She means well but is only three.

No deffinatly not.

The problem was finding wich piece went where. they werent marked. I had a picture with the measurements. I had to measure each board.

It is finished now and the kids are enjoying it. So it was worth all of the time and skinned nuckles.

I know how you feel.. A few years ago, after 3 or 4 hours of putting a trampoline together with the help of my 5 and 7 year old sons, I went inside, called my dad and apologized for all the times I had 'helped' him. I also thanked him for putting up with me. He got a good laugh outta that.
