Which side? Either side really just consists of removing the bezel that the switches are mounted in then removing the wiring harness and pressing the tabs on each side of the switch to push it back through the top of the switch bezel.

yeah, that bezel around the switches simply pops off from the door panel. I can pop off mine by hand instead of using a screwdriver or something to pry it off.

If it is a 2006 and still under warranty, just take it to a Ford Dealer, that fixed mine real quick.

You might consider replacing it with one of those switches liek the drivers window (push once and it goes all the wya down. If it needs replacing why not?

I thought all the newer 150s (and other models) w/the Power convenience groups came with the 1-touch express down feature for the driver side?

We have 2 F150's between those, I have replaced 3 switches... Very easy to do ...Pop the bazel off ; disconnect wiring harness, pull old switch out , install new swtich and reattach wiring harness ; put bazel cover back on...Done!

very common on these years.if you get the switches out and seperate/split the box you can pull the button out remove the little peice of metal and bend it then replace,I just done a friends and it works perfectly now.if you don't feel competent then you have to buy a new switch.

It's easy to replace like the other post say's remove the bezel unplug the electrical connectors and install the new switch. I took my switch apart and cleaned the contact and it works like new. We have a 2005 and 2007 F150, both trucks had the problem. Ford has installed a defective switch and Ford should remove and replace for free. I did alot of research on this, it is a huge problem but since its not a safety issue Ford will not do anything. The switches usually give intermittent problems until after the warranty period expires and then the switch completely fails. Was this the design or coincidence?????? Anyways you can remove and replace with no tools in 10 minutes if you have the new switch in you hand. You can take the old switch apart and clean the contact in an additional 20 minutes and then you dont have to spend a penny to fix it.

My 05 drivers side occasionally has a hesitation, so I figure its just a matter of time. i have a warranty with a $50 deductible. I would assume the switch is cheaper than this. But with a dealer item, who knows.

markup?

So I'm guessing the markup on these switches is about 800%? Maybe someday I might have to install a $2 toggle switch...
