Back Fire under a load

I have a 2004 F-150 Reg Cab V-6 Automatic with 45,000 miles that will back fire if it's under any kind of load. It drives OK if I'm easy on the gas pedal but if I push it the engine will back fire untill I let up on it. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like a timing issue.
