Talking Engine Info

Hey everyone I need as much help on this as fast as possible if ya'll can. I putting my truck in a car/truck show Sat. What I need from anyone who can help me on this is all the numbers and specs on the 352 in my truck that can be given to me. I plan to put up a poster board beside my truck with all of this info on it to give people and judges an Idea of what exactly is under the hood and any other details that I can think of. I have seen other people that have done this and not only does it look good but it gives you a professional apperance as well. So any help with this between now and tonight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

What kind of info would you be after? The 352 FE was first put into trucks in 65 and lasted to 67, then they went to 360 and bigger. The motor had been in production since 1958. It is a member the FE family of engines. It has 208HP, but i can't recall the TQ numbers...

352

352 FE V8 Introduced in 1958 as part of the Interceptor line of Ford V8 engines, the Ford 352 (of 351.9 in³ or 5.77 L displacement) was the replacement for the Lincoln Y-block. Who sez the FE engine was a replacement for the Lincoln Y Block?

That's BS!

The FT engine was the replacement for the Lincoln Y block (as used in large trucks only), not the FE engine.

The Lincoln Y blocks (279 & 317) were used in 1952/55 F600 and larger trucks.

The Lincoln Y Block derivitives (302/332) were used in 1956/63 F600 and larger trucks.

Replaced by the FT 330 M/D, 330 H/D, 361 & 391 in 1964.

No Ford car ever used a Lincoln Y block-ever.

No Lincoln ever used an FE engine-ever.

The only Ford passenger car to use a Lincoln engine was the 1959/60 T-Bird which offered the M-E-L 430 as an option.

Wikipedia? LOL...I should have guessed!!

Wikipedia is full of errors on most any subject.

Someone said it's better than nothing, but that's their opinion.

So how ya been grumpy ? I'm still waiting on that cowl molding for my 65 Custom Cab?
And while I got ya here. Where did the stock tailpipe exit under a 1960 short bed. Has a 292 in it. Out the back or in front of ride side tire? Or should I post it in other forum ?
Thanks for settin me straight on the FT FE. Have a good eve.

When I see Wiki Wiki being cited as a source for anything I'm interested in, grumpy ain't the word for what my feelings are.

The moulding is yours (I promised Don the other one) when I dig it out, and the tailpipe extended just past (or up to) the rear axle, right side on 1957/60 F100/350's, just like they did on most other Ford trucks thru the 1990's.

Even the 1952/64 OHV 6 bangers (215/223/262) tailpipes ended up on the right side.

1952/64 cars with the 215/223 engines = same-o same-o.

The exhaust (and intake) manifold on these puppies is on the drivers side.

rusbukt, You are correct the FE was introduced in 58, but as the power plant for the new Edsel car. 1965 was the year the 208 HP FE was introduced to the pickup.

Grumpy, you call Bill grumpy???????
