So the question is will these F1ZE heads with the 1/2" holes already drilled in them fit my block?

Head bolt size

I wouldn't be surprised if the holes are 7/16", not 1/2". Often the parts stores have inaccurate listings. These hole sizes are actually not quite accurate, as it is customary manufacturing practice to add 1/32" clearance to the bolt sizes. Thus 302 and smaller heads will have 15/32" bolt holes, while 351 engines will have 17/32" bolt holes.

Thank you sir Paul O. I figure if I am going to pull this beast out to do a major overhaul I might as well spend another $400 for these heads. I just hope I can convince Rock Auto to take back the 351 heads as the core exchange. Man this has me in a quagmire. My wife was injured a couple years back and I have posted my truck for sale in the classifieds for $4,500 just to help make our mortgage payments until her case comes to settlement. If I do all this I will have to jack up the price. Decisions Decisions Kelley blue book has the high at $5,800 and I've already put $7K into it. She already promised me if I sold the truck and the settlement was a good one I could buy a new F-150.

When I look up a head for a 93 Cobra, all I get is;

Item Price Core Total
EDELBROCK Part # 60379
