E7TZ9275C .. Fuel Sending Unit-351/460-Use with aft axle 19 gallon Steel tank.

MSRP: $118.30 / ftepartsguy.com price: $85.18

The gasket that comes with this sender is 4 1/4" O.D.

This sender is only shown for 1987...what year gas tank did you say you used?

I'd hate to see you buy a sender if it won't read correctly in your swapped gas tank.

I didn't swap tanks but the truck is 22 years old and I have only had the truck for a year but the gauge worked fine until the float filled with gas. I replaced the float and it hasn't worked since. I wired the gauge to the front tank and it read fine so I know it is the sender. But it has the larger hole in the tank like the tanks with the pumps but has no pump and has no wiring for the pump.

The # shown fits mine.
Is your tank bung 4 1/4" in diameter?

The source that Bill mentioned is a site sponsor and is located here;

www.ftepartsguy.com

You can call or enter the part # in the search by part# box on his site like this: e7tz9275c and that should get it for you.

Glad you have a solution.
You might rep Bill for his tireless devotion to the members on this site .....

Ok, numberdummy, I think I got you. You missed one option on the 85-early 87 carbureted 460. The "hot fuel handling package" this gives you the low pressure in-tank centrifugal pump(s) and no engine mounted pump. It is a royal PITA to find parts for as most places don't even list the pumps. If his truck has a catalytic converter he may be under 8500 GVW. Mine specifically says: "NON-CATALYST" on the underhood emmision label. VIN is: 2FTJW35L0GCBxxxxx
