I just bought the edge evolution and put it in tow mod. Any one use this programmer and what about the other modes. Tow made a BIG DIF.

 

Do you have gauges? If you don't leave it in the lowest setting until you get an EGT gauge.

 

Didn't notice much of a diff with the other settings but I didn't ride with them too much because I don't have the EGTG. I was told by someone else who has a edge evo and a EGTG that without pulling any wight you can use the higher settings without a problem but I would like to play it safe till I get the EGTG. If you decide to take it for a short ride at a higher setting let me know how it goes like I said I didn't get much out of the higher settings. Good luck and welcome to FTE.

I have been happy with mine. I first bought a Superchips but it would not load in my truck for some reason.

 

I love it and i like it

 

On my 3 position setting I leave it on the middle setting all the time and we tow pretty near every day.
I put it back on stock when I was having some problems with my truck and I missed it.
Its a whole diffrent truck when its got the Edge in it.

 

Hasnt the edge been destroying computers? have they fixed that?

 

nope, they are still destroying computers every now and then. i put my truck on the dyno with my edge in extreme last weekend and here is all i have to say... GET A DP-TUNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i only made 204hp and 369 lb ft of torque with the edge. thats a total of maybe 25- 30 hp difference. stock is 215hp at the flywheel then take away for the driveline so maybe 170hp at the wheels.. and i made 204 at the wheels..... not very impressed at all, in fact i was more bummed than anything about it since i made the least hp from anyone in our group, but i know it's about to be a whole different story with my stage 1's!!!!! hahahahahahahaha

 

well i love mine... and the hottest i ever got mine was 1220ish loaded with it on extreme... so not to bad...

 

Ive had one for about 2 years now and havent had any troubles.It does what I need it to do ,just add a little more power.

 

Are you going to have the evo when you get the stage ones? I am going to get stage 1's or 2's and I would like to know how they work with the evo. Would you be able to put it on the dyno when you get it done?
