2000 expe tow package questions

Question 2000 expe tow package questions
I have a 2000 expe xlt with the 5.4 and the tow package. I am trying to figure out which rear end it has. Also does anybody know how to figure out the ratio? Any help is greatly appreciated.

The easiest way is to find the axle code on your door sticker. Post it here and someone will tell you what the ratio is.

i'm guessing either a 3.55 or a 3.73. our 2000 xlt had the 3.55's. if you look in you're owners manual under the towing section, you can narrow it down a bit with tire size, etc.

I would venture a guess and say the same, either 3.55 or 3.73s. My 99 has the 3.73s, and has the Ford 9.75" rear.

The 2000 came with a 3.73 only if you ordered it with the high altitude emissions package. We have a 2000 EB 4WD with 3.73. The axle code is XH6.
