ABS Problem

Hey guys, I posted this in the expy forum with no results. Figured it would do better here.

Hey guys, got a problem. My ABS turns on when I am coming to a stop. It only comes on at the tail end of the stop under 15mph. I can hear and feel the motor turning on and the pedal pulsates. The Expy does not pull at all during the stop. I have recently replaced the front rotors and brake pads but the problem started before I did this work. Belive it could be the rear ABS sensor in the diff. Does that sound right? What do you guys think?

ReAX is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Your rear sensor should be your VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) and sends a signal to both your speedometer and your ABS. I'd be more suspicious of the fronts than the rear unless you have an issue with the speedometer.

By ABS turns on, do you mean the light comes on or the systems starts it's anti-lock function?

If the system was having a problem the brake/ABS light should come on. First thing I would recommend would be trying a much slower stop and a very hard stop. Try to get it to throw a light, then get it scanned. If that doesn't work, I might suspect warped rotors or flanges.

Did you bed the rotors when you replaced them? Bedding usually consist of several increasingly harder stops, but never coming to a complete stop until a short cool down run.

Look, see these two tow hooks? They look like tusks. And what kind of animal has tusks?

there's a very fine line between not listening, and not caring. I like to think that I walk that line every day of my life.

sounds like a vss sensor to me. vss signal is not a parallel circut with dash and abs, but in series. signal to abs first, then changed and sent to dash. need to find out what logged codes. since unit does not pull to one side or the other, I would suspect the rear being modulated, since these unit are only three channel controlled. I don't believe that problem lies in the front.
