Anyone have any pictures of how the alternator mounts on a 1995 F150 w/351w in their gallery? Or have any that they can email me? The local junkyard sold me a alternator mounting bracket and an alternator off a 302, but the bolts do not seem to line up. I am assuming that the bracket bolts to the front of the head, and the alternator bolts to the bracket. Am I wrong here? I am swapping motors from a 300 to a 351w and I do not have access to another truck with a 351w. Thanks for the help.

 

I am not familiar with the later model mounting brackets, but if the bracket has bolt holes for the head and the waterpump or block area, I bet it won't fit. The 351w has a taller block than the 302. If it bolts to the head only, it might fit.
