From what I read, the profile correction thing is done after hitting 60MPH and while coasting with "negative torque" (engine braking) only. I thought it was done after that one time...

And what you say about resetting the PCM is true too - no misfires will be detected until that profile correction is done.

Anyway, way off topic...

Same thing I gathered, only I do recall it saying it could take up to four "cycles" before the profile correction is set. Sorry for the but maybe someone experiencing this problem will get a better understanding of what they can expect to see.

Hey guys, I got it fixed today! It was number 1 coil.

I am going to also get 10 new Accel coils and 10 new autolite platniums in a couple weeks.

But man, My motor has just awaken from a long LONG sleep, This thing is a BEAST!

Yup. Exactly those. I hope they last awhile. Even if they don't, they are 1/2 the cost of OEM ones. I can replace all 10 of them for the same cost as the dealer diagnosing and replacing just 1.
