Ok, today my wife decided that she wanted to test the toughness of passengers side mirror and side of the garage door. The garage door won... So now I've got to replace the whole assembly. The mirror itself is fine, the plastic surround is cracked in a few places. I've got one which will be here on Friday, but can't figure out how to remove/replace it. Does anybody know how to remove the mirror assembly- is it bolted on behind the door panel?? If so, does anybody have instructions how to remove the door panel. It looks like only a few bolts, but are their compression clamps also?
even though you didn't buy the mirror from me and save a few bucks! maybe next time when she wipes out the other side. burn lol
if you give me make model and year and an email address I send you the shop manual for this procedure.

Thanks for your link! I've got it bookmarked. She has been known to rough up a few appendages on the old Expedition, so I'm sure I'll be ordering some things from you!
