bubbles in the site glass window

Hey guys i hope you dont mind me askin this question. Its in reguards to my 1993 toyota pickup, i am a 1997 f350 owner though. Anyway we replaced the compressor and receiver dryer, evacuated the sytem and it did not leak down, or maybe i have that backwards, it didnt have any leaks. so we filled it with r-12 up to the max amount the underhood sticker said. Well the bubbles never went away, its more like steamy milk. The temp at the vent is 44 and 39 on the highway.Everything seems to work properly but i hate leaving things halfassed. Im curious because my ford diesel blows 33 degrees at idle. Oh and we did flush the system allwork was done at a local toyota dealership with a friend. thx guys

Not a toyota guru, but I might be able to help. Using the sight glass to determine proper charge level is ancient technology and in my opinion, a waste of time. the best way is to weigh it in to manufacturs specs. This milky white stuff you decribe is evedent of drier desicant that has spread throughout the system. hoping its just the bubbles your seeing. how well did you evacuate? When was the last time you changed your vaccum pump oil? what are your oper. pressures? all good info to help you.
