Long, long time ago the letters were all tossed into a hat. They figured this is how they would name the country. First letter...C, eh. Second letter....N, eh. Third letter...D, eh. Sounds like enough, eh?

Tool expenses. For each project I work on, I tell myself I can deduct half since I'm using the same tools. So after 100 projects, they may have paid for themselves.

We're both lucky, because my wife is the same way. In fact the '54 (pictured in my sig) was her late father's, and it's what she learned to drive on.

Yeah, we got that all straightened out with PMs I think. So that got it off the forum and you are of course correct. OK ???

You all are knocking me out of my chair with the Canada jokes, too funny! OK, guess I'll stick with the questions posts, I'm detecting a real bias here- my dad was a mechanic too so maybe I'm an oddball (first car I learned on was a 63 dart, could fix everything in that) but, (batting my eyelashes here) I AM a wife! O dear, will I be banned from the board now?

I spent $11,000.00 so far on my 51F1 it's my daily driver now for the last 4 years. The new bed and running boards alone cost around $3,000.00. I imagine to complete it would cost me another $10,000.00.

Simple formula to figure out what it will cost, and how long it will take, to finish your truck, it will take a little algebra:

Your estimate of cost to complete project= C

Your estimate of time it will take to complete the project=T

C X 2= actual cost(AC)

T X 3= actual time (AT)

If you have a young family multiply AT by 2.

Multiply AC by 1.5 because by the time you have the money cost of parts will go up 50%.

I'm gonna use the don't ask don't tell policy as far as cost goes. Who says you could have fun for free any more...that's just an old fairy tail from days gone by.....eh?

I have a little less than $20K in our 60, not including the time, tools and frosties they don't count!

Hours of garage time with my teenage son who didn't know which end of the screwdriver went in the slot before we started and now fixes all his buddies cars..........PRICELESS!
