I tried watching american copper a couple of times but just didn't get into it. I enjoyed the episode when they were making the bike for the lincoln Mark LT (rebadged F150) and went to the factory for the grand tour. I was in stitches laughing so hard, don't remember a single thing about the bike though.

Dirty jobs is the one I can watch, Mike Rowe cracks me up.
I think I have seen every episode of American Chopper, I will probably never own a motorcycle for myself but it is interesting watching people build them. They are very creative. I also like modern marvels and build it bigger. The Ultimate Fighter is good too, I am a big MMA fan.

I don't give a didlly doo about motorcycles, bikes, choppers whatever either but I like the show and the creativity also. I think we need to start AMERICAN GUNSMITH so I can become a BILLIONAIRE!

If you can watch Mike Rowe on DIRTY JOBS without cracking up you ain't got no sense of humor! His subtle humor kills me!
The one with "sh** creek" and the "mechanical butthole" is a freakin' CLASSIC!

Hey 1994diesel;
I'm (well it's 99%) about to get a truck with the same motor as you. Do you have any important advice I haven't heard yet? Gotta be some little tid bit I haven't heard yet on my hundred hours or so on here. It's high mileage and I'm gonna be towing my Cherokee home (350 mi.) with it right after I buy it. Anything out of the ordinary I should check before I head home?
Thanks in advance!

Dodge/Cummins, the only thing that comes to mind right now is the health of the turbo, if you can, take off the air cleaner so you can see the compressor wheel and wiggle it back and fourth, if it has any play, its bad... and if you have seen those screwed up down pipes some people have pictures of on here, you need to replace that, but over all, i couldnt be happier with mine, i hope you will to, best of luck to you,

I agree, Mike Rowe is hilarious. His delivery is spot on. I also like Mythbusters. My favorite one was where they were experimenting on how to remove concrete from a mixer drum and then blew up the truck at the end.

If it wasn't for Discovery, Military, History, TLC and the Smithsonian channels, I might be able to get something accomplished around the house.

Hell YEAH!!! I loved that cement truck episode, just the sound of that boom still cracks me up. All that was left was a few twisted pieces of frame rail and half a conrod! Now thats the proper way to blow a cement truck up! Jet taxi revisit was pretty good too.

What I like about these shows is that they aren't full of themselves and can poke fun at eachother. Although I'm still waiting for a PROPER revisit of the salami rocket....

Its the characters that make these shows work, when I first saw a commercial for mythbusters I thought "WTF"? but after watching an episode I was hooked. Mike Rowe is the same, he makes that show. If it wasn't for him, it would just be another reality show that makes me want to turn off the TV (fortunately there are other "reality shows" that make me want go outside). I still watch the news, and the odd simpsons episode, but in general, I just don't have patience for what is on TV anymore (except for what I already mentioned) and don't get me started on what hollywood is putting out these days.

"mechanical butthole", hmmmm, is that the one with the "300HP poo pump"?

I watched the first few episodes of SCARE TACTICS a few years ago. The ones that stuck out to me were the "Alien Explosion" one where an alien ship crashed in the desert and the alien came after the blind date couple in the car, That guy would have ran clear back to Vegas through the desert in the dark, leaving his date covered in his milkshke in the back seat, if they hadn't called him back.
If sombody ever pulls that crap on me they better make sure I'm not packin' cause that 8' alien that ripped the door OFF the car would have gotten ventilated. That was some realistic stuff!!!!!

The other one was the Sasquatch one outside of the motorhome. When bigfoot "ghosted" by the window I got the chills. And I was at home with the lights on!

I really like MYTH BUSTERS too and those guys are sooooo much smarter than me on a lot of things but they need a REAL Firearms Expert on that show. That San Francisco cop ain't gettin' the job done. And the gunshop owner's advice I've seen them get leaves a lot to be desired too. They use the wrong firearms and ammo to acomplish what they want frequently and have to "revisit the myth" when their viewers/gun nuts call them on it. To their credit they do it over but wouldn't it be easier to do it right the first time? The guy they get the mini-gun in the Suburban from is Mike Dillon of DILLON PRECISION / DILLON AERO that guy knows his stuff, they should use him! Or me, yeah it could happen.

Yeah that was pretty cool when they moved the lighthouse. I also saw the heritage hotel moved to make way for a new expressway. Those 4 wheel lift dollies were pretty cool, loved the idea of using veggie oil for hydraulic fliud.
