Unplug MAF?
What happens to your 4.6 when you unplug the MAF sensor while idling? I am asking because my '95 doesn't do anything bsides pick up a few rpm, and I want to know if this is normal... I am trying to diagnose my engine going into limp mode without throwing a code...

The 92 TownCar that I did had little effect on the idle as well.

Thanks for that... Bought new MAF on a hunch, and still have same problem!

When you unplug the MAF the engine will attempt to infer the air flow using RPM and throttle position. Are there any stored or pending codes?
