yeah your tranny should be fine, but still it never hurts to put a good cooler and new fluid and what not in it.
Hopefully this upcoming weekend i can get the motor dropped in the truck, my parts from summit are in, new high volume water pump, underdrive crank pulley, new plug wires, and some nice shiny tall valve covers (wanted soem steel ones but no one makes a tall steel valve cover, and spacers were more expensive than the new valve covers), other than plugs and a new fuel pump that i'll get from napa i have everything i need to put it together and drop er' in, i'll still need to port my homemade headers to the bigger 4v ports though, for the rad i'll just keep it in the stock location, as i've already made the mounts to move it to the bed, but i want to make sure it will run ok with it in the stock location before i change anything, will need to rewrie everything and get some murphy switchage guages to protect the motor (they have addjustable points on the oil pres. and water temp. that will shut the motor off if reached) and its racing time

Ran into a snag over the weekend, the water pump i got from summit ended up having a bent impeller, so i gotta send it back and get the pump replaced, but i have a stock one i'll run in its place for the time being, got the covers and the pulley and the wires i needed so i'm good to go on that front. I did some surgey on the intake as i was afraid of having water sitting underneath it and the the valley pan from pricemotorsports, so i chopped the bottom of the intake out, other than that i wasn't able to get the motor dropped in, but the old motor is ready to get yanked, just have to seperate from the tranny and pulled on it out.
I ordered a few more parts as wll, i ordered a new lakewood bellhousing thats sfi approved for exploding clutches , also have an external oil line kit from price motorsports coming as well, then i will still need to port the headers for the bigger ports, do some cleaning and painting and i'll be good to go to drop the new motor in and fire it up, i'm hoping that since i have a short little holiday this weekend i will be able to get everything up and running. the pulley is a 4" morso underdrive crank pulley, the 4 bolts are still there, just behind the the pulley. the pulley actually usesthe crank bolt (it has a spacer behind it and a longer grade 8 crank bolt) and the 4 bolts it normally bolts to are replaced with allen head bolts and they are there to keep the pulley from spinning on the crank bolt.
there will be video .

Well i've already broke it, don't know what caused it but i bent both ppushrods on #4 cyclinder, i htink i had some valve float, i just hope the valves didn't hit the pistons.
