Question Another transmission swap question...

Quite simple, i think.

I have a 1979 f-100
302 with a c4 transmission, column shift (P, N, D, 2, 1)
I am looking to replace it with a stronger c6 transmission.

What issues will i run in to (driveshaft length and shifting is a main concern)

Thanks, Cody

Waste of time and money. C4 just fine behind a 302. C6 just eats a bit more power. You can beef up the C4 if you need to.

wow...
I knew it ate more power but

I have a $1,200 custom built C4 in it right now, redline cluthes and all. I was just curious to see the difference i would get with 4 gears instead of 3.

I'll stick with what i have. Thanks yall.
