Now 13,500 miles on a Job 1 build. Cracked DPF very early on replaced with no hassle. Been perfect since. Most of the miles are towing a 13K plus 5th wheel. MPG is acceptable to me for a truck and 5th wheel that weighs in at over 22K . Not a daily driver so the price of diesel does not effect me as it would if it was used every day. The Accord seems to run forever on a tank of fuel. Now when we ran through Texas on I-10 speed limit 80MPH and tried to keep up with traffic our MPG went in the dumper. When we moved over into the slow lane and traveled at a reasonable and safe speed..we did good...

F250 Ext/Cab 4X4 XLT with 40,009 Miles purchased Sept 2007...
3 Radiators,oil seal,ExternalTransmission filter issue...other issues as well
MPG 13.5 no trailer , Towing small work trailer 10.5 - 11.5
Purchased Extended warranties (2) : 100K and 7 years 200K
The only problem with this truck is the MPG, but if you wanted fuel economy you shouldn't have bought an almost 10000 pound truck! I love this thing - 08 Job 1 F250 FX4 CC, 3:73 rear loaded up....25800 miles and counting! No issues (knock on wood), have driven the round trip from VA-WI and VA-northern MI several times - hitting the mountains will all the power makes for a fun drive. Getting 17-19 mpg highway @ 72 mph with the 6-inch Job 2 air damn. Compared to my 04 6.0L this is like driving a luxury truck!
I really love my Super duty with the 6.4. It does every thing my old 6.0 did and manages to get ride of another $200 a month in fuel in addition to the payment on this $50k truck. I use my truck in my Heat and Air business and this time of year my bank account usually starts running over and this truck just kinda helps to keep this problem is ck. As the temp has reached above a hundred, my fuel millage has dropped even more. And when I look at dying market for these beast, it make me so proud to know my depreciation has doubled in the last year. Thanks Ford for saving me tax dollars.

I bought my F250 6.4 in May of 07, and it has been flawless to 35+ K mi. Those that whine about the lower MPG should have done their homework prior to purchasing. All post 07s will have lower MPGs due to emission equipment not found on earlier models.

Keep in mind that folks come to these forums to learn about their trucks and to learn about problems and how to deal with them. The forum would not last 1 week if all the post said.... I love my truck... no problems, get great MPG..we are happy . probably 98% of owners are satisified with the truck as we are...however if I have a problem I would like to be able to go to a forum for help.. I don't need to hear..I love my truck....that is not a problem.

I believe I did my research and read everything Ford had on the new 6.4. I found several places where it was reported that the new engine would meet new emission standards, provide more HP and Torque and still provide the same if not better fuel economy. No where did ford ever mention the SUBSTANTIAL REDUCTION in fuel economy. To do this shows a complete disregard for their loyal customer who have believe in the Ford diesel since the first one on the road.
I have never had any major problems with my ford trucks, and each and everyone has been used for work. I have been completely satisfied with the product, and I like this one, but I will be damed if I will drive 55 like an old lady or park it in the garage because of the piss poor fuel economy, and pretend the fuel millage does not matter. I have no choice but to work my truck and pay the extra for fuel, and yes I can afford it. But I paid 6k extra for an engine that will burn 7.5k more in fuel in 3 years than my old 6.0. And that is just 12k miles a year. What about those guys that are doing 100k a year? Should be pretend the problem does not exist?
