I love my truck, with only 3400 miles on it almost a year later I have had no problems. Just wish I had those wonderful powerscope mirrors...damn ford for not making them standard on the job 1's.....

My J1 is over 1yr old with ZERO problems at 36K. Not even the dreaded radiator leak. I think that the negative posts have been relatively few in comparison to the owners who are very happy with their trucks.

If anyone has a factory job 1 brochure (you know the really big one) Look in your options and you will see that they were not available on XLT trucks until job 2 builds. I have the power / heated mirrors with turn signal, but thats all they do. And I have the tow command pkg with IBC. Power fold and telescoping mirrors where standard with FX4 and LARIAT trucks as long as you got the tow command. I do want to retro fit my mirrors with the power folding/telescoping but thats $500 a mirror, plus the switch assembly. And I am not trying to start any fued, I just know what it was when I ordered mine in may 2007, and I have the brochure in front of me.

Love My 250

I traded in a 2004 5.4 L gas F-250 for a 2008 Supercab 6.4 L Diesel F-250 in November, 2007. In 17,000 miles, the only problem I have had is that the gas cap broke (Ford replaced). I didn't expect great fuel mileage, but for the driving I do (mostly 55 MPH hwy, some interstate) it is acceptable...usually about 18 MPG (I have a light foot). It pulls an 8000 pound travel trailer without straining and a 4000 pound boat without effort. With the travel trailer I get almost 12 MPG. The truck starts easily, looks good and handles and rides reasonably well. Ford has been very good at answering questions and providing service. So you can call me a very satisfied F-250 customer.

5500 mi on my F-250 w/ no problems yet. I get 10 mpg with 35" tires and 410 gears. Didn't buy it for mileage. Pulls the boat better than any chevy i have ever owned. First time owning a ford after driveing my F-450 (2005) work truck for a year i have wanted my own ever since

Job 2, with 5500 miles, no problems so far. It's got to be one of the nicest truck ever built. Would be great to get better economy, but don't think that will happen.

4700 miles job 1 no problems 16 mpg. tows my 10k fifth wheel likes its not there. I feel better about the mileage when i leave duracraps with smaller campers in the rear view with out even getting on it while they leave huge clouds of smoke (letting me know they are standing on it) while I set the cruise. I wish it got the 20mpg my trusty 7.3 got but you can't have everything.

I know my truck has power folding and telescoping mirrors because I use them all the time when towing my trailer. I just push button to extend them out and hit ajusting joy stick and they fold in and out. I bought truck 07/2007 and it and smaller air dam on for job 1 trucks. I think it was built 06/07 and it's F-450 so mabye the options are differnet.

3300 miles and a few pulls (3000' climb) and I love this truck. Luxury and power, I got 11-12 mpg roundtrip. Used to get 7-8 with the V-10 Ex and a trailer that wieght half the current 5th wheel.
