paint question

i called to get some paint prices and they told me that they have 2 different kinds...acrylic enamel and some other....they said that the acrylic didnt need clearcoat....can i clear it anyway?...i would rather go with the acrylic since it is cheaper

gnwalker is starting off with a positive reputation.
You could clear it but you dont have to. It has a pretty good shine on its own but it wont as long. I've seen acrylic enamel last about 5-6 years before it starts to fade but you could probably do better if you keep it clean and polished
