I'd always heard of that route but never took it. I guess I'm a creature of habit. I'm starting up a new job on Monday so now I need to figure out the best way from Winchester to Versailles, hopefully without going through Lexington. Google and mapquest haven't been all that helpful so far.

Probably going I-64 to I-75N to exit 115, that's Newtown Pike, go south to New Circle, then west to US 60. Depending on the time of day it shouldn't be too bad.

Yea,that's the closest I've found so far, New Circle isn't much fun in rush hour though. I've seen them bring out the street cleaners right at 5 and on a two lane beltway, that's not much fun.

I've noticed that when it comes to working on the streets to do whatever, some of the people in charge don't use good judgement when it comes to timing. Running a street sweeper during rush hour ranks right up there. Perhaps they need a new sweeper and they want someones insurance to get it for them.

That wouldn't surprise me down here, I've seen Lexington pull some bizarre stuff.
