Superduty option?

Since this engine now has it's own section it looks like we're passed the rumor stage. Last I heard this motor was supposed to have HP/TQ numbers comparable to the 7.3. Ford offers the 5.4 & V-10 option in the super duty's for gas engines. What are the odds this will be offered as an option to the 6.7?

I like the thought of a smaller engine in the SuperDuty. Like you said, the power is comparable to the 7.3. I've had my share of turbo and non-turbo 7.3's and they honestly had plenty of power. Give me a six+ speed manual and a 4.4l and I'll get some super fuel mileage.

Not to mention you might be able to at least change the serpentine belt by yourself. That's what scares me the most about the current 6.4. My daughters old escort had more room to work under the hood.

It looks highly likely that the 4.4L will be a engine option in the Super Duty at some point in time. One of the pictures posted (appears to have been removed) from the Dealer Show said it will introduce in the F-150 and follow in the Expedition/Navigator, E-Series Vans and F-Series Super Duty...

my dad had a F350 with a 6 banger in it when I was growing up. That was a good truck. Not fast but it was a very good "get the job done" truck

This was published in Mexico yesterday.
Annual capacity of huge numbers of the 4.4-liter diesel. 400.000 annual. This might be a real F-150 hint.

El Diario de Chihuahua

"It was explained that Ford Engine Plant in Chihuahua has 28 years of operating, while Plant II is barely seven months producing two diesel engines with a capacity to assemble 400,000 units of the 4.4-liter engine"

Land Rover is estimated to use some 20-40.000 of these. But the rest?
