2005 SCrew Visor Lights and Dome Light

Hope someone can help. When I open any door the front dome lights will not come on. The rear do and fade when door is closed. Also the vanity lights in the visors will not work. The lights in the front come on when you roll the switch by the headlight switch and when you click them on. Can't even find what switch or fuse controls that in the owners manual. Any ideas?

Sounds like we can't help you.. Not sure, but I think the vanity lights might be on a different fuse. I know they are on a different harness than the dome lights. As to the dome lights, since they work with the dimmer switch and you can manually turn them on, then somehow they are not getting the signal when the door is open. The switch is working since the rear domes come on, so there's a break somewhere from the switch to the front lights. Can't recall if we have a lightening control module, but maybe that as well.

Check your door switch. Squirt some (don't flame me) WD-40 in it and push it in and out a few times. Happened to my 2002, and didn't give me the "door ajar" light in the dash when that was going on. It actually fixed mine. Another anomoly.

As stated above, lube the door switch. Sounds like it is sticking and not activating the switch for the lights. Passenger side should be well-lubed, as often the drivers' door will be ok, but the passenger side door, which gets less use, will stick.
