OK.. so, not all in one day but I finished up today....took me a few days.

I had a nasty third gear synchro gone bad in my ZF and was driving me crazy.. so out it came, while it was out and waiting for the replacment to arrive...., replaced my leaky up pipes with SS ones from Riffraff, oem rear main seal(wasn't leaky but hell, I'm in there already), new South-bend clutch/fly-wheel, garret turbo pedestal EBPV Deleted, Driven Diesel fuel kit, Auto Meter Fuel guage,Diamond Eye 4" SS TB with DEI insulation wrap and heat block around the down pipe and trans area, New SD Starter, DC power 250 Amp Alternator and associated wire upgraded to 00 wire, West Marine fuse block for aux lighting coming soon...
Transtar Industries ZF47 , nested with freshly balanced front and rear drive shafts with new joints...

Thumbs up M5OD in my '94 F150 4.9L

Inspired and guided by this post.
I changed the fluid in my manual transmission.
The most difficult part was removing the FILL plug, and that's why they tell you to remove that FIRST.
The magnetic drain plug had fine slivers of metal on it as well as 'metallic dust' that looked like anti-seize!
I used a pump from the boat supply section of Wallymart (cost roughly $5) similar to a hand soap pump to fill it back up. My pump screws directly to the top of a quart bottle and it took about 10 min of hand pumping to move approximately 4 quarts of the Valvoline Full synthetic ATF.
The trans is much happier now, with noticeable improvement in ease of shifting( particularly from 3rd to 4th) and reduced 'whining' especially at 60mph.
My truck only has roughly 75k mi. and I suspect the fluid has been changed before. The old fluid wasn't anywhere near the same color/smell as the new, although it was still mostly red.
I highly recommend changing your fluid if you never have! Only slightly more challenging than an oil change. Totally worth the $25!

I didn't do it myself but I got a 20% off flush coupon in the mail so I decided to get the ole coolant system flushed. Truck was not running hot and heat was good etc but it looked a little old and crusty to me. The shop said it tested fine but flushed the whole system for a measly $40 plus $22 in AntiFreeze. I'm glad I did it. Gonna flush the diffs, transfer case and drop the tranny pan when it warms up.

Dirtied up the 90 F150. Has mud and slosh all over it from driving it the past few days.

Brothers think it is cool but I really am hoping that soon I can break out the pressure washer and rinse it off.

Checked replace leaky heater core off my list of to-dos on the '87.

Left on the list is:
1. Swap out the 4.10 geared rear axle with the 3.55 axle I picked up at the pick-n-pull a couple of weeks ago.
2. New wheel cylinders & rear shoes.
3. Drop rear tank, clean, & install new pump. (Tank hasn't been used since before I bought it and I don't want to gum anything up)
4. Replace left lower ball joint & check rest of steering
5. Speedo drive gears to correct for gear change
6. New output shaft seal & change trans fluid
7. Intake Manifold gasket & hunt down idle problem...

2/3 of my driving age kids have turned their noses up at it so I'm getting her ready to be my drive.

Last week I discovered I had a broken right rear shackle on my F250. All the original hardware was getting thin on both sides. Ordered new hangers, shackles and hardware from LMCtruck.com.

Installed all the new parts yesterday. Was not as bad as I thought it would be.

Now I can put the winter ballast back in and get the plow on. Let it snow!!!
