Yesterday I sprayed the mud off and used Son Of A Gun! to wipe my bed tarp down and some cheap tire cleaner/bleackener to make the wheels look better.

The old girl really needed the cleaning.

Today I'll be doing my oil change...

Went searching for an exhaust leak that has come up in the last week. Found the rear port on the passenger side has a slight leak on the gasket. I honestly expected this one as the threads for that port got screwed up when I put the Summit headers on. So I went ahead and ordered a Helicoil kit for the header bolt holes to fix it. With how many time I have taken these headers off, I can get them off in under 20 minutes so it should be a fairly quick fix minus the drilling of the holes.

Then when I went to close the hood I noticed the driver side headlight was filled with water. Inspected the bulb to see if it was seated properly. It was. Turns out the seal on the housing is shot. Then when I checked the function of the bulbs I found the high beam on the driver side was dead. So all that paired with no relay harness as it went bad about 2 months ago I bit the bullet and ordered new DEPO clear housings as well as a full HID projector retrofit kit. Maybe now I will have some decent headlights.

Glad you bit the bullet, you'll enjoy it. You should look at the v3 triton led turn signal led flash-back bulbs.

Might have to in the future. I still have the orange turn lights at the moment though.

As for the projectors, I am looking forward to it. I got the new model D2S projectors so I can use OEM Phillips bulbs which are supposidly the best bulbs out there.

Busy day,
First, I sanded and polished my headlights. then I removed my front bumper and heated the mounting flanges and hammered them back straight. now my bumper hangs straight with no sag and no more shims.
Then I removed my fifth wheel hitch and unbolted the bed. Used my next door neighbors hoist to remove it. Tomorrow I'm going to pressure wash the frame and fuel tanks so I can find and fix the leak I have in either the return line or pressure line connectors. I recently dropped my rear tank to put a hose on my pickup tube to fix the "empty at 1/4 tank issue. I did it with the bed attached by dropping the tank, but I think I damaged one of the quick connectors (the pressure side came off easily, but I gave up on the supply line after fighting 3hrs.) due to having to do the job with the return line still attached. I needed to do the front tanks pickup anyways, so I'll also fix it while the beds off. Anyways, theres so much diesel fuel all over the top of the rear tank I can't tell which line was leaking for sure, so that's why I'm pressure washing it first.

A planned pivot bushing replacement turned into a radius arm bracket/bushing replacement, as well as a harmonic balancer replacement this past weekend. Isn't it fun when you find problems while fixing others?

Now it's off to get new tires and an alignment on Thursday, then it should be all set.
