Greatest planes of all time were taildraggers: P-51, P-47, F-6f Hellcat, F4U Corsair, Spitfire, Me-109, Fw-190.........

Imagine stick time in one of those.

But yea taildraggers are hella fun compared to typical GA aircraft

ah cool, never seen one in person, sad it got wreaked tho looks really nice!

anyways to keep on topic...decided to install the rear RABS unit, but it got cold so I decided to wait till tomorrow, also gonna have to clean out the glove box to do it anyways so yea, another project to do along with runin to the local pull a part to look for a front license plate holder thing for a fellow FTR'r around here...

Bought a 20 ton press this morning to press out/in leaf bushings for my SAS. Cleaned'em up, and now (minus some rust) one of the bushings slips right through. Have to fix that somehow...

I drove it to the junkyard and left it there...

Lol in the parking lot while I walked around and looked. Found some things I really wanted, but not the front plate mount I was looking for (found one, it was broken). I looked for seats, found some decent grey leather buckets out of a '99 Explorer I might go back for if they're still there. Found a full set of factory 15" aluminum bullethole wheels off of a '90 F150 4x4 I'd love to snag...

Hot damn! Thanks bud!!! I had the catalog right in front of me and missed it.

Edit-i celebrated too soon. Thanks for the help bud, but look at my signature...I have a 1987. The only bracket they have is for the 1992-1996 (7). I'll check on it tomorrow at the dealer when I ask about the firewall reinforcement plate I now need

You might have to take the main leaf to a spring shop & have it fixed or buy another main leaf

Did you get the right bushings? I believe there were two different sizes for rear leafs. Thats what I found out when I did mine. Of course I got the wrong ones right out of the gate and of course I ordered off of the web.

Got my pipes and threaded rod collected, cut and test removed two (of 6) cab bushings so I can get the cab setting correctly one of these next weekends.

That's just what I didn't want to hear (but knew was the case) Gigger. I'm rapidly running out of funds as I needed to have my slave replaced. I also have to drive my truck back to school on Sunday.
This is for the front leaf, not rear.

Put a new water pump on the 93 XLT 150

Put a new water pump on the 93 today. Took a little while but saved money by doing myself. The weep hole on the old one was leaking. So far so good.

Drove by the yard she is sitting in, looked at her patiently waiting her time on the road again. No time to work on her again yet, but I am aquiring some parts.

Took Michelle in for a GOOD bath....$15 later, and about 2 hrs of scrubbing, and cleaning...She's actually presentable now.....Cleaned the engine good....

Used the foaming soap brush, and lathered her up really good....And got all the mud off......And then wiped my tires and bed tarp down with tire blackener......And MAN......She looks soooooo MUCH BETTER.....Pics tomorrow....

And I ordered a new set of mirrors tonight.....$46 for left AND right sides, XLT style, SHIPPED.....www.Partsgeek.com.....Best place ever...

So this weekend, she should be symetrical again....

On a side note....

I have been acquiring parts for the rear brakes.....So far I have-
-New Wheel Cylinders L & R sides...
-New E brake cables (The short ones that are on the inside of the drums)
-New cable adjustment guides (On order, will be here Tuesday)

And she already has good brakes, and a recent spring kit installed on both sides....

Next things to order will be the HVAC Blower Switch ($15 MOTORCRAFT part from Partsgeek.com)....And a Wahser Fluid Resevior......$28 new from Motorcraft via Partsgeek.com....

So yeah...She's coming together again....

Only thing that's worrying me right now, is she seems to be having temper issues (Temperature hand is fluctuating between the N and R of NORMAL.......And seems to be wanting to rest on the R more.....

Already has new hoses, and a new Radiator.....So it's either-
-Fan Clutch (EASY FIX)
-Thermostat (EASY FIX)
-Waterpump (Semi-Easy Fix)

The maintenance issues are nickel and diming me to death..
