Technically I didnt do any of the work, but I did get my truck back from the shop this afternoon. After a couple tierods, wheelbearings, new rotors/pads, and some new brakelines shes driving smoother then ever. Hopefully my bad luck is finally over(or atleast till summer when Im outta school).

As for the jobfront, though, I actually just got a great job! I was driving forklifts for a cold storage facility here in Bakersfield. It was a REALLY great job with good money and bennys but lots of hours. But today I got a call from a shop downtown that wants me to start on Monday. It's a Case International dealership, parts, and service shop and I'll be coming on as a diesel/ag equipment tech. How freaking cool is that? I'm so excited. Plus I guess two of the guys there are jarheads like me so I'm really looking forward to everything.

Thanks, I'm slowly restoring her as much as I can. The trucks been in my family since it had 11 miles on the clock. Its been sitting in my yard since '05 and this winter I finally decided to get her road worthy again since Im not driving my '85 Iroc-z in the snow. So far shes been pretty relieble considering its all original with 180k, besides my little incident over the weekend Im loving this truck.

Today I replaced my stock cap ,rotor and wires with a new ignition rotor, a used MSD distributor cap and used Taylor wires. I got the cap and wires for free off of a mud truck a friend is working on-they replaced the stock EEc distributor with points!?! I have no idea why other than the electronics in the mud truck keep on failing (Its a mud truck). I also painted part of an overhead console I got from the junkyard for $15. Then I managed to mess up my alternater pulley nut. I am taking off the 2.125 pulley and replacing it with a 1.875 pulley. I will get a new nut for it tomorrow and have it running again tomorrow evening.
