Maybe. My dad put on some sealer stuff on it. He explained it like this:
"Michelle, this is the nastiest stuff known to mankind... once it gets on something, it doesn't come off.. that's why my favorite blue jeans are brown around my knees.. it's this stuff... so we'll just apply a bunch raound where it broke... and maybe then it'll seal back, you wont have to replace it, you'll pass IM, and you'll be good to go."
"SHouldn't we just replace the pipe?"
"This is just as good as replacing it!"
"eehh... alright if you say so..."

He does most of the work on my truck, anyway.. so I kinda trust him. His logic doesn't always make sence to me though.

Those pipes cracking in half is pretty common. I sealed mine up with some JBWeld so you might be ok.

That's good to know.. so far no check engine light, and that was the only code that came up (which is amazing if you ask me!) I rechecked it myself, and then cleared it.

I removed the intake manifold and put back in, all because of a broke bolt. Good learning experiance. A bit intimidating to look at but quite simple once the work started.

I filled up both tanks with gas and put a piece of cardboard in front of the radiator since the temp would rarely go above 160, now it stays right at 195 like it should. I actually have enough heat.
Need to change oil, fuel filter and hopefully it quits missing. I also need to wash it- got stuck in the mud last weekend- now the mud on the truck has a layer of ice over it.

Got some more parts commin. Nothing here yet. Got some clear headlights, corners, and turn signals commin from FordF350Baby. Swweet. Still havent put the rear bumper on the truck yet, havent taken the upper back off the bronk, to pull the valve covers and see if I can see y cyl #2 has no compression, lookin for engine for bronk if it aint an easy fix. Going to look at a 93 bronk on sunday. Maybe I wont have to fix the 88 Bronk lol.

Back in August I reworked the brakes and eliminated the RABS. Today was the first time I've driven it when the roads were covered with snow and ice for more than a few miles. It was like I got a new truck. My commute used to be a white knuckle ride in the winter. Not anymore. This thing actually stops.

Today?

This morning I installed a 4th rebuilt motorcraft starter over the past four months since the first three had serious defects. The first one didn't work at all. Nothing, nada, zip. The second one started the truck exactly once, and the plunger refused to push the engagement mechanism forward from that point forward. The third one was built without bearings, so it technically worked but the shaft wobbled around so much that it sounded like it was going to explode. Once started, it rattled like a ****, where at idle I could hear the "internal starter rattling" inside the cab with the windows up.

The one I installed today seems to be a good one. Engages right away, starts the engine quickly, no clicking or rattling or grinding.

Now if I could get my hydralic clutch system not to leak I'd be a happy guy.

Yesterday I took apart my OD button to figure out why it wasn't working... only to find out that the OD button DOES work, but the light doesn't. Easy fix!
