Stripped the tailgate I picked up for the bronk. Cut out the rusted spot and welded in a patch, sanded all the welds down and then found out that I have no primer. Compounded, polished, and waxed 1/2 the bronk. On a side note, drank beer and watched the Giants game GO GIANTS.

Replaced all of the rubber hoses under the hood-including the infamous/hard to find/PITA to remove/install- throttle body coolant hoses.

Installed Colibert, 20 pound heavy, front tow loops under the front bumper--very nice. Just what I need to pull the neighbor's Chevys out of the ditch this winter!! (But I did get it stuck during a 06 blizzard-30 inches of unpacked snow and no way to pull it out from the front without digging... But it had street tires on it then !!)

Installed small v8 emblem from late model V8 Explorer tailgate on tailgate of my F150 .The superimposed V-over-8 ,flathead v8 emblem ,--like from the Thirties. Very understated -but very Ford.

I installed a new seat cover (saddle blanket, very nice!), put Red to work haulin' a load of old aluminum siding, door and window frames to the scrap metal yard ... and then I had to replace the heater core. Can't complain, though ... the original core lasted almost 22 years and 248K miles.

Reinstalled shift kit to add race springs to it, changed seprator plate gaskets, new filter, fluid, and a Derale Deep pan. Will have to post some pics of the pan in the am.

Not today, but on tuesday, i tried to avoid an accident in progress ahead of me and ended up rolling my truck onto its roof:

Got caught in a sudden snow storm, and i sam a line of cars ahead of me start sliding all over the place (we were going down hill) so i just barely tapped the brakes (truck driver behind me verified that) and it kicked the rear end to the passenger side (which was a hill going up from the road) then i was backwards going down the road but on the hilll if you understand what i'm saying, then i rolled it onto the roof into the road. We're gonna go get it in a little bit and bring it home and start rebuilding. I'm fine, just sore.....

Glad you're OK. I can imagine you'll be sore for a while, just take it easy for a few days. Keep your chin up ... and keep us posted on the rebuild!

Picked up a mint tailgate with perfect aluminum and plastic. Trying to decide if I want to put it on before I paint it (might be awhile before I can paint it). I don't want to be that different-colored-body-panels guy but my current tailgate is pretty beat up. What's more redneck: mismatched or broken stock?
