Mine's in the shop for a rear break job the parking break on the passenger drive wouldn't release Monday after sitting Sunday " note to self drive truck on Sunday" so because I sent it to the shop I'm having them fix the drivers side interior door so it will open without having to drop the window and opening it from the outside anymore. Right now I'm stuck driving the company chev.
In shop for new rear tank fuel pump. Those Ford pumps are expensive as heck!
If ya order off of Amazon and can wait a day or two, you can get em for around $70 shipped. Thats what I did because like you said, the parts stores had them for $100+
I had a great day. Put a new master cyl. for clutch on my 1996 F-250 and it went great. Found out on this forum how to put it on quick and to bleed it quick. Have one U-joint that is iffy, so think I will put it on in the morning.
I stalled all new shocks and steering stabilizer. Have new mounting hardware and a old shock still in good order. While under the truck noticed i meed to fix a freeze plug. And still waiting on my new oil pan and gasket to come in. Have a decent leak coming from my botched oil drain plug (from previous owner)
Drove from wyoming to Minnesota yesterday, 860 miles of, well, boredom. Made it safely so today I'll start on my flatbed project, have the whole week off for this and thanksgiving. Even with the 33x10.5r15 tires I had ok fuel economy. 17.8mpg over 250 miles with a wicked tailwind, then 16mpg with less tailwind, and 15mpg with no tailwind at about 65mph (used to get about 17mpg under these conditions with the small stock tires). Interstate through south dakota I was getting impatient, went 75mph and got 13-13.5mpg.
Today I painted 2 rims off of my truck and primed 1. I will complete the other rims on my next day off. Enjoy here is a link with before and after pictures. Well one rim completed and what the other rims looked like before I painted them.
